If you want to use the reader 11 on windows vista, you have to take the version for windows 7 or xp. XI on my Windows Vista 32bit operating system (OS) - 8800121. There is no version 'adobe reader xi for vista'. If there is anything unusual about my Vista installation that allows Reader 11 to work well, it is probably either (A) absolutely no trace of older Adobe Reader products or (B) no corrupt system files. I had Female Reader x whichever I uninstalled one while ago due until certain plugin crashes with firefox. Windows Vista 32-bit works with Windows 7 Adobe Reader version XI: I downloaded Windows 7 Adobe Reader ver. Edit Recently learned that Foxit Reader no longer lists Vista as a supported OS either. In the list of installed programs, click Adobe Reader, and then click Uninstall or Yes. Windows XP (SP2) or Windows Vista (The included Cubase 5 64-bit version natively. In Windows, search for and open Add or remove programs.

I should mention that my Vista is 32 bit. Assuming it is working properly, you can then download and apply the latest cumulative patch (the built-in updater won't give you anything): Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Windows : Adobe Reader 11.0.16 update - All languages. To be clear, Adobe Reader 11 never officially supported Vista, but always officially supported Server 2008 (which is basically identical to Vista), and it does work on Vista. The pesky plugin checker appears to have been removed from the latest Firefox 50.0, but it certainly used to report that even 11.0.18 was "outdated." That might be because Firefox plans to end support for all NPAPI plugins except Flash Player before long. Firefox is definitely not blocking me from using the current version 11.0.18 (there is nothing "current" about version 10.1.13).
